How to Increase Energy

As I allude to in my book Holy and Wholistic Health!, being healthy involves “living in a continuous state of energy and vitality.” Anything that increases energy, whether originating in the body (physical natural world) or the soul and spirit realms, will maximize good health. In my book, I briefly alluded to how the body naturally generates energy (in cells) by mitochondria generating ATP. ATP is natural, biological energy stored in a molecule.

I recently listened to a podcast I consider to be one of the best explanations of how (and why) mitochondria generate ATP energy. This podcast is worth a listen for any that want to understand how to maximize generating energy in their body by using hormetic stressors (such as exercise and exposure to hot saunas and cold ice baths). The link to the podcast is below, and the first 20 minutes address energy production; the remainder is also worth a listen.

If you are unsuccessful clicking on the above link, the podcast can also be found at the To Your Good Health Radio podcast; search for “Eat for Energy: How to Beat Fatigue, Supercharge Your Mitochondria, and Unlock All-Day Energy” by Dr. Ari Whitten (being interviewed by Dr. Friedman), released 8-17-22. I tend to agree with most of what Dr. Ari Whitten says in the podcast.

Here are holistic recommendations to increase energy:

“But David strengthened himself in the Lord” (1 Samuel 30:6b).

“…for the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).
