Quantum God - Superposition

I recently listened to a Ted Talk about how quantum computers will potentially wreak havoc for current models of encryption for the safety of internet data. This Ted Talk can be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://www.ted.com/talks/craig_costello_in_the_war_for_information_will_quantum_computers_defeat_cryptographers?utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=tedspread.

In describing the quantum computer encryption problem, the speaker spoke of a quantum principle called superposition. From my limited understanding, let me try to explain superposition. It is the reality that a particle, such as a proton, can seemingly be in two places at one time, and the particle can be experiencing different states and forces simultaneously. Really. They say that this is a proven scientific fact. I will have to take their word for it. Mind-blowing, interesting, and game-changing.

The natural world principle of superposition--that multiple things can be accurate and factual at the same time--messes with my rational reasoning mind. And yet, I see this same principle at work in the invisible spiritual realm. For instance, the Christian truth of the Trinity of the Godhead says that God exists as Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. This is a superposition-type reality. Three in one yet one functioning as three (Zechariah 14:9; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 8:6; many other scriptural references).

The Old Testament focused on the Father, Lord God (Jehovah, Yahweh). He was the central figure and "interacter" of the old covenant. With the advent of the New Testament, God (three in one, one functioning as three) sent His Son Jesus (His voice, His Word) to the earth to become the central player in His story of salvation and redemption. After Jesus was crucified, resurrected, and returned to the Father, God’s Holy Spirit (His breath) became the central player in the empowering of believers for life and discipleship. Three in one, one as three. All true at the same time.

In my following blogs, I intend to continue to describe superposition and how the “all-true-at-the-same-time” principle applies to different areas of our lives.

I’m Dr. Jon Clark and have been in practice for 24 years. When I was 16, Jesus Christ changed my life. Everything good in my life has come from giving my life to Jesus. If you need a fresh start and would like to know Jesus, the Bible says that if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be saved. If you make this life-changing decision, give our office a call and let us know.
